Today’s Prayer

My soul utterly mourns my weakness, Lord. Grant me an increase of faith that would bring me deeper into the divine life You purchased on the cross. My love is diminished by affliction. My mood is too easily soured by trial. Grant me an extra dose of Your Spirit so I can rejoice in my suffering. Such a precious inheritance I have in You, Lord. The poorest saint is rich in Christ. Beneath Your tenderness, I take much needed refuge. Though I have been beaten down, You enable me to stand in Your strength. With great affinity, I turn to You when I am broken. Your healing touch is the evidence of Your triumph. And if the trial shall require endurance, I turn to You for the necessary equipping. Let me rejoice in the God of my salvation. Let me stand tall when the waves crash over me. As long as I hold Your hand, I know that I will not falter, Jesus. Bought with Your blood, what have I to fear? I have no cause to boast in myself but in You, I will boast all the day long. Under the message of Your Word in 2 Corinthians 10:16-18 and the authority of Christ, I come to the altar in prayer.

For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory. But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
2 Corinthians 10:16-18, ESV
