Sweet and tender is Your touch, O Lord, our God, and mighty is Your great Name. Thank You for loving my soul as much as You do. Your love astounds me, thrills me, and sustains me. Let my devotion to You not be restricted by the strings of deceit that often tie up my heart in knots. I seek Your wisdom to unravel the mess I make of life’s journey. I seek Your protection to keep the enemy of my soul at bay, for I am too susceptible to his lies and lurking temptations. Father, shield my thoughts with the presence of Your Spirit in power and truth. Weave together the pieces of my heart in such a way that I can live as the extremely valuable object of Your love that You have deemed me to be. Under the beautiful truth of 1 John 4:10 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I gently place these humble prayers into Your hands, O Lord.

 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
