Our good and holy Father in heaven, may Your presence be the deepest desire of my heart now and always. Forgive me, Lord, for straying from beneath the protective covering of the umbrella of Your Word as I am so easily distracted with the daily responsibilities and drama of life. When I am pummeled by the hailstones of worry, remind me to call upon Your power of peace to shelter me. When I am blown about by the pressures of expectations, let me call upon Your power of humility to provide me refuge. And when I am drenched in the tempting culture of this world, let me call upon Your power of truth to cover me in abiding love. Under the umbrella of Psalm 5:11 and the authority of Christ Jesus, these prayers are my offering to my one and only living God.

But let all those who take refuge in You rejoice.
    Let them always shout for joy, because You defend them.
Let them also who love Your Name be joyful in You.
