Almighty God, my soul adores You. I thank You with a contrite and desirous heart for the opportunities You have brought me to grow in suffering, to serve in adversity, and to abide in You every moment that I choose Your way above my own. Be with me, Lord Jesus, as I travel this treacherous landscape before me. Sustain me with the manna from heaven that is Your divine presence. Replenish me with the living water that is You. May the unanswered longings of my soul not turn my focus off of You and onto the mirage of worldly fulfillment. O Lord, slay the desire in me to be known and liked by others to the point of performing for people rather than for You. Drive me away from the fruitless joys of this world which create in me an unhealthy spirit. Rather, lead me into that broad place of Your holy land where there is no constraint on my soul. May all my illusions evaporate until I am standing firmly upon the glory of truth. Grant me open eyes to capture the magnificence and beautiful purpose behind every encounter as You use me in ways I could never foresee. I will let my worries and burdens be lifted by You so that I can travel with a light soul, both in weight and illumination. May my heart continually attest to Your love, O God. Under the sustenance of John 6:35 and the authority of Christ Jesus, these prayers are a fragrant offering to the mighty King.
