Our Father in heaven, gratitude overflows my heart for who You are to me. I place upon Your altar the unanswered longings that have nestled in my spirit, causing me to become distracted and tempted away from You. O Lord, my God, slay this desire to fill the deep empty that only You can fill. Drive me away from the fruitless joys that I so frequently pursue so that I can be fruitful in Your Name. Let Your words of truth wash over me in rapturous delight as I ponder Your promises in the dark nights of my soul. Lead me in this dance, Lord, as I am unsure of the steps. Light up the darkest places of my heart with the music of Your salvation. For I rejoice in You, O God, because You have seen me. You have claimed me. You have designated me to be Your very own. In the illumination of reconciliation, I will move to the beat of Your divine will. I will sway under the melody of grace. I will twirl to the harmony of mercy. My Savior and my King, dazzle this weary heart of mine so that the music of my soul plays loudly once again. Under the beautiful sound of truth in Isaiah 35:10 and the authority of Christ Jesus, these prayers are lifted to heaven in praise and worship.
Then Yahweh’s ransomed ones will return,
and come with singing to Zion;
and everlasting joy will be on their heads.
They will obtain gladness and joy,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
