Great God Almighty, my sovereign King, my heart adores You who are worthy of all praise. Bring justice to my cause, O Lord, for my Spirit is on trial before You. Those who were not supposed to be my foe have unashamedly caught me by surprise with attacks, deceit, and betrayal. Father, let not the fiery darts of the enemy penetrate my shield of faith for You are my refuge, my strong tower of strength in time of need. Bring that beautiful, warm light of Your presence toward me when I get lost in the void of darkness. Silence the chaotic noise of unruly emotions because only You can quiet me in Your perfect love as You diligently fill the holes in my heart. I will rest in the hope that one day I will understand the pain; one day all will make sense; one day -that glorious day- true love will be fulfilled in You! And on that day, I will know fully, even as my suffering is fully known, that it was worth it all. Under the perfection of Your Word in Micah 7:8-9 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I lay these prayers at Your feet.

Don’t rejoice against me, my enemy.
    When I fall, I will arise.
    When I sit in darkness, Yahweh will be a light to me.
I will bear the indignation of Yahweh,
    because I have sinned against Him,
    until He pleads my case, and executes judgment for me.
    He will bring me out to the light.
    I will see His righteousness.
