Today’s Prayer 9/20

My glorious Redeemer King and merciful Creator, draw Your beloved servant into Your strong embrace for I am in need of comfort. Lord, grant me the energy needed when I feel drained. Sustain me in the beauty of Your truth and shield me from the accusations of our enemy. As I journey through the valley of death’s shadow, Jesus, may Your rod and staff comfort me as You guide my devoted steps. Let my heart beat in peace with gratitude because I know whenever the terrain of the journey is too tough for my lamb-like legs, You will lift me up in the strength of Your love and carry me until I can walk again. Under the beauty of 1 Corinthians 15:55 and Psalm 23:1-4 and my beloved Savior Christ Jesus’ authority, I humbly place these prayers into Your hands, Almighty God.

“Death, where is your sting?
    Hades, where is your victory?”
1 Corinthians 15:55, WEB

Yahweh is my shepherd;
    I shall lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
    He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
    He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
Psalm 23:1-4, WEB
