Almighty Sovereign God and King of this universe, grant understanding to Your servant as I walk in Your ways. I seek You for the strength to endure trials, faith to overcome obstacles, and patience to wait upon Your perfect timing. In all things, settle the storms that rise up in my own soul by Your gentle, yet commanding, voice of love which assures me that I can trust Your plan. Bring Your shield of protection over me as You guard me in purity and sanctify my soul so that I bring glory to Your great and mighty Name. Lift me to the rock that is higher, Lord, because I am in need of a heavenly perspective over difficult earthly circumstances. Under the mighty authority of Jesus and the truth of scripture in Psalm 61:2, I set these prayers at Your feet.

From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed.
