My great Shepherd, hear the cries of Your little sheep this day. Guide Your lamb into the fold of Your holiness where safety and rest can be found. Shine Your beautiful light upon the path of darkness that creeps up on my life, hiding in the shadows of temptation. Bring strength and perseverance for me to keep moving in the direction of Your will when the enemy has scattered snares of condemnation and frustration upon this path. Help me, Lord Jesus, to find the sustenance in desert seasons by feasting on Your Word and drinking the living water of Your presence. Use me in mighty ways to shepherd those You have placed in my flock, Lord, so that all are brought safely into the fold of Your saving love. May the lost be found, Lord Jesus. Under the measured truth of John 10:11-15 and the authority of Christ, these prayers are lifted toward heaven.
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep…
I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,
just as the Father knows me and I know the Father;
and I lay down my life for the sheep.
John 10:11, 14, 15, ESV
