I look to the heavens because the thread of hope extends from Your Kingdom, my Lord. I look to the light because the radiance of faith that illumines every dark crevice of my soul begins and ends in Christ Jesus. I look to Your Word because truth is the cornerstone of the foundation that saves my life by way of the cross. I come to You, Jesus, bowing before You in surrendered prayer holy and reverent in the covering of Your grace. Draw me to this secret place of prayer where You can cleanse the tainted portions of my soul. Take me into the deep of Your presence where I can be fully revealed, without fear, devoid of shame, because Your righteous love covers my iniquity. With fragile hope, I stand before You, Lord, extending my hands in praise. With growing faith, I place my trust in You, letting Your guidance trump my selfish desires. With a heart willing to learn, I submit myself to Your teaching, Jesus. Make me the person You designed me to be. Use my life for Kingdom glory. Under the Word given in Isaiah 28:16 and the authority of Christ, I humbly pray.
So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;
the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.”
Isaiah 28:16, NIV
