Lord, the cries of my heart are many. The chaos of my soul is perplexing. Take my untamed heart in Your hands and claim me as Your own, Jesus. Remove the wild tendencies of my soul to assert its own desire over Your perfect will. My mind is easily enticed by the offerings of this world. Yet, I grant the consent of my thoughts to Your truth alone, my Lord. Make Your Word come alive in me and captivate the essence of my being. When I worship, let it be with authentic melodies of praise resonating from a heart owned by my Creator. When I rejoice, may I be anchored in truth because the truth has found me amidst the field of lies which I tried to hide within. Set my face toward the horizon of the glory of eternity with You, my King. Let me settle for nothing less than all that You have offered me. Keep me from exchanging relationship with religion. Keep me from sacrificing obedience for convenience. Magnetize my faith so that I revolve around You and You alone, my Lord. Cleanse me of the sticky webs of deceit that cling to me still. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, pull me out from the ensnaring temptations which would banish me from Your perfect peace. Make me a sincere and devoted follower of Jesus Christ now and for always. Under the Word of John 8:31-32 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
