Make me a light-bearer, Lord – one who carries Your image with the shining truth of the gospel. Your Word alone is the essence of truth. You are the sure foundation upon which my wavering heart is steadied. Remove any cynicism that hinders my view of the pure, the lovely, the noble, and the worthy. Keep me from self-destructive behavior which comes from my own areas of blindness. Join me to Your majestic adventure of changing this world through powerful transformation which only comes from Your Holy Spirit. Your strength in me, Jesus, is my sufficiency. Your Spirit fulfills and completes me. For You show Yourself perfected in my weakness. Rest upon me, Lord, as I lay my infirmities upon the altar of Your truth. Under the mighty Word of Philippians 4:8 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I delight to pray before the King of my heart.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise, think on these things.
