With a delighted heart, I come before You, great God Almighty. I bow before the altar of the King, eager to lay down all that needs to be sacrificed there. Let the eyes of my heart not linger with an adulterous gaze on the distractions to holiness. Let my soul no longer crave carnal delight because my pleasure is found in Your presence alone. My obedience to Your command is a voluntary reaction of abiding love. In You, I have placed my trust, Jesus. In You, my hope is grounded and my faith secured. Even when my emotions gravitate toward melancholy, You have rooted me in joy that will not fail. Even when clouds roll over me, You have lifted me high above through promises of eternity. See my heart, Lord God. Make me what You intended me to be – a sweet adoring reflection of Christ who sojourns through this world on my way home. May I leave a trail of beautiful worship for the one true King so that others might follow and find what their soul truly needs. Under the Word of Your promise in John 14:14-16 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you
another Counselor to be with you forever.
