Lord, let my life exemplify my identity in Christ. Bring to the forefront of my thoughts the truth that I belong to Jesus. I am not my own. I was purchased by the most precious blood. I was claimed by nail scarred hands. Even before my accuser stood before the court of the Ancient of Days, my Savior entered a counter-plea on my behalf. Can my heart begin to fathom all that you have done for me through Your intercession that declares me ‘not guilty’ Lord? Can my mind even comprehend the realm of the impossible made possible because You have defended me, redeemed me, saved me and loved me? Enable me to show the world that I am Your servant, Your friend and Your bride. Let me resist earthly pleasure which tempts me from love’s eternal path. My Lord, I delight to belong to You. Under the mighty Word of Isaiah 43:1 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are Mine.
Isaiah 43:1, ESV
