My Savior, my weary heart adores You with gladness. Let my joy be complete in You, Jesus. Let the alabaster perfume of my praise enlighten Your heart. When chaos swirls around me, invite Your servant to rest my head upon Your chest. Invite Your child to find refuge in the lap of my heavenly Father. Lord, I pray that my gifts are pleasant to You not because of their substance, but because of the motive with which they are given. Let holiness infuse my life like frankincense and myrrh as I lay each moment at Your feet. Empower me to forgive offense because it makes Your heart smile. Equip me with generosity because it pleases You. Use me for Kingdom work because it will bring rejoicing in heaven. Lord, make my life a sweet incense offering of adoration. Under the beauty in Your Word in Psalm 45:1 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
Beautiful words stir my heart.
I will recite a lovely poem about the King,
for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.
Psalm 45:1, NLT
Lord, I pray that my gifts are pleasant to You not because of their substance, but because of the motive with which they are given.
This is a very important idea–motive of our hearts
