Be ever near me, Lord, my God. When the tempestuous billows of life threaten to take me off course, let me cling to You. Make my feet to stand firm upon the faith You have set within my soul. When I sink in the chilly waters of corrupting emotions, Lord God, lift me to the still waters of peace by turning my eyes upon Your Son. Thank You for the shield of Your Spirit that protects me from the hellish darts of the evil one. May my hope be bright and sparkling against the dark shadows of emptiness. Make the embers of love catch fire within me until it is a warm and fervent invitation for others to know You. I yield my insecurity to Your sweet assurances. Let me remain standing on the planted Word of truth as it grows a garden in my soul. Under the Word of foundational hope in Romans 15:13 and the power and authority of Christ, I bow before You in prayer.
