Lord, Your sweet answers to my anxious pleas are breath to my weary soul. I rejoice in Your nearness. In You, there are good things in store because Your promises assure me of the brevity of life’s travails. With my eyes of faith fixed upon eternity’s horizon, I can see the end of my captivity. Help me to bear this banishment for the season because I know Your love burns too deep for my human imagination to fathom. Comfort me with Your Word, Jesus. Tether me to You in faith lest I stray according to the wiles of the enemy. May Your heart always remain warm toward me so that the embers of my devotion inflame a union of hope which bursts forth in love. Do not forget Your lowly servant, my Lord. You who counts the stars, who knows my name and endured the cross for my shame are worthy of glory. Let the beauty You have bestowed upon me no longer remain hidden beneath a cloak of my iniquity. Rather, let me put on the radiant garment of grace which is Your glory and my shield. Under the mighty Word of Revelation 3:5 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments,
and I will never blot his name out of the book of life.
I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
Revelation 3:5, ESV
In You, there are good things in store…A good promise to cling to especially these days–
