Jesus, You are the nourishment that my starving heart cries out for. Your Word is the food that puts energy into my soul until life becomes radiant once again. Beneath the banner of Your covenant I find my peace. Beneath the canopy of grace, I find my assurance. Let my heart and soul rejoice with the gratitude of deep, abiding worship. For You have declared me Your own. You have bought me with a price that was impossible for me to pay. My Savior, You have emptied Yourself into me so that I could become a new creation untainted by the inclinations of the flesh. May the fountain of Your incorruptible love flow into the empty pitcher of my being until I am filled with Your Spirit and overflowing with Your purpose. Let my thirsty lips kiss You in praise, Lord, so that the drops of living water heal every crack that hinders my speech. Enlighten me, God. Strengthen and sustain me for Kingdom proclamations. Cleanse Your servant with restoration so that Your reflection is not marred through me. My heart’s desire is to be authentically Yours, Jesus. Under the mighty Word in Psalm 55:22 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Psalm 55:22, NASB
Let my heart and soul rejoice with the gratitude of deep, abiding worship–I think it is so important to link gratitude and worship, rejoicing and praising.
