Lord, help me to paint upon the canvas of my life with the effervescent brush strokes of the Holy Spirit. Make me discontent with anything less than a life lived in holiness. Jesus, You are my teacher and my model. It is You whose artistic fingers create a portrait of godliness to imprint upon my soul. To reflect You is ultimate beauty, Jesus. To resonate with Your likeness is the masterpiece for which I was created. The divine love that cherished me with peculiar affection has wiped the dirty canvas of my heart clean so that it is made ready for Your workmanship. Lord, paint upon my soul with the colors of hearty love, fervent compassion and intense grace. Make me. Keep me. Imprint me with Your image. When others look upon the portrait of my life, let them see only You. Under the Word of truth in 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

You received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit
in spite of the severe suffering it brought you.
In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord.
As a result, you have become an example to all the believers.
