Lord, within the deepest recesses of my heart awakens the desire to experience the fullness of Your love. Incomprehensible is the grace bestowed upon me that invites me into the sweet union of such longing. Jesus, You are my beloved. Let me be holy Yours. You are the keeper of my heart beat’s rhythm. Let me dance to the tune of truth. You are the light that cleanses my soul’s filth. Let me drink of the waters of salvation bubbling up within me. Even when my own selfishness afflicts me, Your love overcomes. Even when temptation persecutes me, Your love is my escape. Even when tragedy distresses me, Your love is my hope. Even when the sword of physical calamity tries to cut away at my faith, I trust in Your love. Lord, You are altogether lovely and wonderful. There is no cavernous hole in my heart that has not been filled by Your conquering love. Under the Word You have given in Romans 8:35, 37 and the authority of Christ, I humbly and gratefully pray.
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love?
Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity,
or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? …
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours
through Christ, who loved us.
