My Lord, I come to You with a heart that is willing to bend. Let Your Spirit blow through me until the power of sweet submission takes over. Use the vigil of prayer, Lord Jesus, to guard my heart, detaching all worldly entanglements so that You can remake me in the solitude. Chase away the sinful thoughts which invade the sacred truth with which my mind is delightfully occupied. Grant Your beloved the courage needed for the battle of faith. Beautiful is Your protection, Lord, that does not leave my wounds infected by sin. I find great solace by abiding in Your love, Jesus, forsaking the nothingness of worldly pleasure because You are my all in all. Under the mighty Word given in Matthew 28:20 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
