Today’s Prayer

How sweet are Your promises, Lord. Your Word is where my soul’s rest can be found. For there is no deceit from the enemy that can stifle Your immutable veracity. There is no perceived neglect that can tarnish Your eternal faithfulness. Your Kingdom cannot be demeaned by worldly distractions. My Lord, let me see time as it stretches out before You so that I can fully understand the fleeting days of trouble that I live in. Holy Spirit, wipe away the wafting vapor of doubt that circles around my mind, clouding the hope given me in Christ. Let me labor unceasingly in prayer until Your perfect will is done upon the earth. Draw me into Your concerns, God, before I draw You into mine. Elevate the spirit of my devotion out of the pit of selfish cares and personal anxieties. Take me prayerfully into the depths of Your heart, Jesus, and keep me there. Under the Word of truth in Psalm 17:7-8 and the authority of Christ, I humbly bow in prayer.

Wondrously show Your steadfast love,
    O Savior of those who seek refuge
    from their adversaries at Your right hand.
Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
 hide me in the shadow of Your wings,
Psalm 17:7-8, ESV
