Your love, Lord God Almighty, is as a treasure to my soul. There is nothing so precious or divine. There is no higher union than to be one with You in Christ Jesus. Let my heart resonate with gratitude for the lavish abandonment You poured out in order to save me by not sparing Your one and only Son. Help me, Lord, to be utterly generous in my self-surrender so that Your Spirit can invade every crevice of my being. I want to meet You with measureless devotion because Your love is my very life. Your presence is my heartbeat. How glad Your servant is to throw myself upon the altar in order to feel the warmth of divine love’s embrace; and to surrender all control to the One who created me. Whatever I am, You can have it all, Lord Jesus, as I lay down my rights beneath the totality of Your authority. Let me have nothing that is separate from You. I resign all liberty of choice by seeking Your guidance for every step that leads to life and godliness. Bring Yourself glory from this blessed union manifest through Your beloved’s enthusiastic devotion. I long to lavish my love and attention upon You in worship and praise for all the days given me upon this earth and into eternity. Lord Jesus, keep me within the intimacy of such a fellowship birthed in grace. Under the beautiful Word of truth in John 1:16-17 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
