Who is this King of glory whose footsteps echo in pursuit of the heart of His beloved? Lord, I rejoice in the power of Your love that chases me. I praise You for the joy of Your presence which follows the weeping banishment of those who dishonored Your garden of delight. Such grace calls us home from the cross. Jesus, You are the door that remains open even to those who have shamefully mistreated You. My Lord, let Your choice fruits come forth within my heart. Let Your garden’s beauty manifest within my soul. Only You can nourish me with truth that drives out the serpent’s lies. Only You can ripen the fruit of Your Spirit to reclaim the barren land destroyed by sin. The soil of my being is in Your hands, God. Do with it what You must to usher in Your glory. Under the Word of truth given in Psalm 24:3-5 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
He will receive blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psalm 24:3-5, ESV
Jesus, You are the door that remains open even to those who have shamefully mistreated You–thank and praise God that there is still space for grace for the prodigals
