Heavenly Father, You have shown me the power of a love so measureless and incorruptible that I cannot help but respond in praise. Let my hope stand on nothing less than the steadfast surety of Your holy Word, God. In the perplexing distresses caused by circumstances beyond my control, I delight to rest in the sweet assurance of Your sovereignty. Nothing hidden in darkness is unseen to You. No pit is too deep to swallow Your beloved child. When creatures of evil assault my thoughts with subtle contradictions, Lord Jesus grant me the strength to lift my shield of faith. Buckled within the safety of Your truth, I can rest knowing that my soul has been secured by the cross. With singing lips, I will worship You, God. With a serving body, I will praise You. Only Your mighty hand can lead me through the valley of peril into the Promised Land of prosperity. Only Your heavenly light can pierce the stormy skies of deceit in such a way that my life becomes Your testimony to truth. Have Your way in and through me, Spirit of the Living God. Under the Word of God in Psalm 146:1-2 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in payers of adoration.
