My Lord, Your faithfulness is a beacon of hope which my weary soul clamors to hold onto. Though the ground beneath my feet shakes, I can rest assured that Your mighty hand is strong enough to catch me. When my soul trembles with fear, let Your perfect love drive it away, Jesus. Make the foundation of my faith solidify in Your truth. Make the peace of my heart unite me to You. I know not the depth of purpose within the battles that I face, but I do know that my desire is to bring victory to Your Name. Lord, let me not cling to my own self-image in a culture that defines me contrary to Your Word. Help me stand strong as the image-bearer You created me to be in order that I might best reflect Your heart in a world that cannot see beyond the body which houses Your Spirit. Jesus, You are my shield against the flaming arrows of shame. I am who You say I am. Under the mighty Word of truth found in John 8:12 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.
