Today’s Prayer

Jesus, my King, Almighty God, Holy and true. May my heart beat in rhythm with Yours. May my soul be engulfed by Your majesty. In the deep, deep waters of life may I know that You are there to save me. You are there to hold me. You are there to keep me. You are there, my LORD, even when no other soul is. And so Your love never fails me. And so Your love always reaches me, no matter where I am. There is so much to Your love that I don’t understand. For I am merely mortal, a person not worthy of Your attention. But Your love, Jesus, is divine and You have chosen me as Your own. O, how my heart rejoices with new life. O, how my soul exhales a new song. In all my ways, may You be glorified in my life, my LORD. My prayer is that You take me deeper into love. Show me the way to Your heart. Lead me to be where You are. Love is a mystery only solved by You. I am thankful to You, my LORD, for looking upon me. I am thankful that You have allowed me an audience with the King of Kings. And so I approach the throne trembling with awe and dripping with Your mercy and grace. I offer You, on bent knee, the only thing I have to give –all of me. Take my very heart, Jesus, and teach it to beat to the same rhythm as Yours. Under the mighty Word of God in Psalm 42:7 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

Deep calls to deep in the roar of Your waterfalls;
all Your waves and breakers have swept over me.
Psalm 42:7, NIV
