How is it possible that my God sees me when I am so small? How is it that my LORD is near me when I cannot feel His presence? Where is faith to be found? How does faith grow? In the depths of suffering I find the spark of hope. In the trials of life I find the flames of faith. You, my LORD, are faithful, the author and inspiration of my story. My faith grows strong as a mighty oak because You so graciously send me showers. Mere drops of rain are not sufficient for You because Your blessings are abundant deluges. The seeds of faith and hope that You planted in me grow by the water of Your love. In Jesus, I have all that I need for He is more than enough. The soil of my soul will no longer be parched and dry. The drought is over and water has flowed into the barren places of my heart. What joy when love blossoms! What fulfillment when cleansing begins! Delight draws me to where You are. I bask in the mercy I find when I look into Your eyes. May my life bring You glory. May I honor You with all that I do. In my uncertainty, I will hold on to You in faith. In my weakness, I will follow You to a place of growth. Lead me to the highest heights or take me to the deepest depths so that my faith may be my sight. Bind me eternally to You, Jesus. Under the Word given in Hebrews 12:1-2 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-1, ESV
I bask in the mercy I find when I look into Your eyes. May my life bring You glory. May I honor You with all that I do.–Amen!
