When I am afraid, I will trust in You, my God. When the peace is disturbed within me, I will run to the refuge of Your Word. Take me into the beauty of an eternal perspective, Lord. Open my heart’s eyes to the ravishing majesty of Your love as exemplified upon the cross. Inspire the tips of my soul’s fingers to reach back across time, through Your Word, until I touch the essence of truth imparted for me in the language of divine love. The outpouring of Your grace is the power that has re-birthed me, Lord. The abiding presence of Your Holy Spirit revives me in the midst of weariness. God, You make me glad. You make me define joy in a new way. Safeguard my entire being from the enticements of this world because my citizenship is from heaven. When condemnation assails me, Lord God, remind me who I am in You. Reflect Your glory through the willing submission of my soul, Lord God. Under the Word of truth in Philippians 3:20 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
For our citizenship is in heaven,
from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior,
the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20, NASB
When the peace is disturbed within me, I will run to the refuge of Your Word.–Amen!
