Father, my faith rests entirely in Your Word. What sweet solace can be found in the refuge of truth. For when my soul is weary from battle, Your promise assures me that power comes to me from Your mighty hand. Lord, wrap me up in the beauty of Your promises. You are the tender promise-keeper. You are the Holy One. How my soul thirsts for deep communion with You. How my heart rejoices in Your presence. Jesus, You are the filler of my cup. Before Your throne, I bow with a submissive heart which delights in Your instructions. Enable me to follow Your commands. Though my sin brings me distress, Your promise is what I cling to, knowing that You have washed me clean. Though my fears tempt me toward doubt, in Your mercy, You have provided a way of escape. So, I run to Your Word with no merit of my own. I cling to the cross and the promise of salvation, the covenant of divine love. Father, my hope rests entirely in You. Under the Word given in 2 Corinthians 1:20 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes;
therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20, NASB
Though my fears tempt me toward doubt, in Your mercy, You have provided a way of escape. So, I run to Your Word with no merit of my own. I cling to the cross and the promise of salvation, the covenant of divine love.–Amen!
