There is no peace apart from the LORD, my God. For He is the Prince of Peace to all who know Him, to all who pledge their soul to Him. When the prince of darkness shoots me with his flaming arrows of anxiety and worry, I only have to run into the arms of my Savior. For He has given me a shield of faith with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of our enemy. With peace I will rest. With peace I will bow to the authority of the King for He has been good to me. O LORD, how I praise You for Your faithfulness. You are always good, always true and always with me. The walk of life has not been easy but once I took Your hand, I no longer feared my aimless wandering. There is no forgiveness apart from You, LORD. For You are my Redeemer, the One who set me back upon the straight and narrow road. When the enemy of my soul dragged me off into a pit, You were there with Your mighty arms to rescue me. For You gave me the sacrifice of Your love. You died for me though I was unworthy. With Your forgiveness I am cleansed. With Your forgiveness I am washed in Your perfect, beautiful grace. How my soul praises You LORD for You have the power to make all things right. When I stray, O LORD, take me by the hand and lead me home. You, Jesus, are the desire of my heart. In You I am made whole again. May the life You have given me bring You pleasure. Under the Word of Your truth as given in Romans 5:1 and Christ’s authority I pray.

Therefore, since we have been justified
[that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith,
[let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God
[and the joy of reconciliation with Him]
through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).
