Today’s Prayer

LORD God be magnified! You are the Holy One. The One true God. Let Your children cry out to You, the One who can save them. There is no place to run from the assaults of the enemy. The arms of the LORD are a mighty fortress of protection for all who take refuge there. My God is strong. He is my able provider. He is my shelter from every storm. I adore the LORD. My heart belongs to Him. Therefore I will bow to His authority. I will follow Him. Show me the way in which I should go, Jesus. For I am weary and faint of heart. The battle rages on, but I look to You for help. With my hand in Yours, Jesus, I am assured that I won’t be lost. Jesus, be glorified! You are the Savior of the world. Perfect and righteous, Son of God. Let all Your beloved turn and accept Your love. In You we can find rest from the toils of life. Only You can give us peace in a world full of chaos. You amaze me, LORD. You thrill me and delight my heart. Love is so much deeper, so much richer than I ever imagined. Thank You for sharing it with me. I need You, my LORD. You are all that I ever needed. For my soul’s satisfaction is found in You. Silently, I sit at Your feet and worship You. Joyfully, I lay down my head in submission to You. Reverently, I gaze into Your eyes of grace and behold the beauty of love. Under the Word of 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels,
but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have a faith that can move mountains,
but do not have love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor
and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,
but do not have love, I gain nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3, NIV
