My Father in heaven, reveal Yourself to me in new and inviting ways. Usher Your servant into the blessed unity of Your essence. Let me bask in the radiance of Your majesty until my restless soul finds peace that surpasses this world’s contention. God, I long for contentment which the intimacy of daily prayer brings. The gracious offer of Your holy presence is such a blessing bestowed. Bury my thoughts beneath the shade of truth as evident in Your Word. Hear my confessions of iniquity so that I can receive Your gracious kiss of divine love. What a wonder that I am not left on my own. What a mercy that I am not forsaken by the One who created me. Only in the power of Your Spirit can I press forward when the winds of adversity push against me. Only in the unspeakable strength of Your presence can I rise above the suffering of life. Lord, my Jesus, how Your beloved delights to follow Your footsteps of truth. How Your servant treads behind You in joy because You have beckoned me to follow. You are my satisfaction, my friend and my guide. You are my all in all. Let the order of holiness vanquish the unending chaos of rebellion within my soul. I am Yours, Jesus. Under the Word of Isaiah 43:1-3 and the authority of Christ, I pray.

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are Mine.
When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
