The heart of Your beloved rejoices in Your greatness, God. You are entirely true to Your promises. It is to this hope of eternity that I cling. Your love is unfailing. Your mercy is unmatched. With sweet delight, let the footprints of my life journey match Your own, Jesus. Your presence is nearer to me than my own breath. Your power is perfected by my own weakness. Lord, let me be drawn into the intimacy of prayer with You each day. Without You, my soul languishes in the mire of iniquity. Without You, my heart aches with the mourning lament of life in a broken, fallen world. I draw close to Your comfort, dear Jesus. I rest in the shadow of the Holy Spirit, wanting nothing besides You. Great God of all that is, that was and that will be, You are the life of my life and the death of my death. I am enriched in the poverty of my soul because I believe in the purpose and plan of Your cross. Let me not find dismay upon my bed of sickness because it there that You can do great work. Let me not fear the darkness because Your truth is the starlight that shines against the canopy of night’s deceit. You are my bread of sustenance, my calm in chaos and my cloud to shield me from the heat of day. Make my feet walk in faithful steps with all truth, all grace and empowered by love. Under the blessed Word of 1 Chronicles 29:11 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
