Today’s Prayer

My tears are shed while I humbly bow before the LORD, my God. Hear my feeble cries, O LORD, and forgive me of my iniquities. From the midst of the turbulent storm I call out to God. From the depths of my overwhelmed soul I cry out to You, my Savior. While the ground beneath my feet is shaking and unsteady, I will wait upon the LORD, my God. Only You, my Savior, can lead me to a solid place where I can stand. Rains of discouragement pelt me and winds of hopelessness knock me down. But You are my shelter in the storm, Jesus. You are the safe place that hides me from our enemy. Forever I will be Yours and be sheltered by Your perfect love. I will abide with You in eternity, in the place You have made just for me. Jesus, You have heard my heart and answered my deep longing. You have given me Your love. What more could I possibly want? An easy life would distance me from You. A prolonged life would only keep us apart. But Your love binds me to You and draws me closer every day. Your mercy is like a magnet pulling me closer to You. I have no fear because I have You, my King. Let my tears be shed with joy one day as I gaze upon You in glory with my very own eyes. I will bow down and proclaim that You are worthy and You were worth it all. Under the mighty Word of Isaiah 54:10 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.

For the mountains may depart
    and the hills be removed,
but My steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and My covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10, ESV
