Today’s Prayer

Like a flower without water is my soul without the love of You, my LORD. I wither and fade when I cannot feel the warmth from the love of God’s Son. Even though You are always with me; even though Your love is constant and unchanging; our enemy blinds me with his cloak of lies. He binds me up until I cannot feel anymore. But my God is mighty! He fights the battle with me. He reminds me who I am. He defeats the enemy for me. He shows me who I am supposed to be. Oh LORD, my God, You are my Hero, my Savior and my Redeemer. My soul is nourished with power from Your Holy Spirit. I thrive with a heart held securely in the loving hands of my King. I grow like a tree planted by life-giving water. I bear fruit to the glory of God. Rejoice! all who follow the King. For in His Word is the soil of truth. He is the gardener and we are His seed. Let each one take root exactly where He plants us. Oh LORD, my God, make my roots grow deep in Your love, so that I would stand firm through the rains of discouragement; so that I would hold steady through the storms of despair. Though this life may bend me, I will not break. Though this body may fail me, I will remain strong in Spirit. Because You are my LORD. You are my love. You are all that I need. My Jesus.  My all in all. Under the blessed Word given in 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I pray.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;  persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
2 Corinthians 4:7-9, NIV
