My Father in heaven, eradicate the melancholic ponderings which vex my soul, robbing me of the peace I have in You. Situations are never quite as hopeless as my selfish perceptions convince me they are. For as long as I remain in You, Jesus, victory is assured. You have loved me in spite of myself. You looked upon my vileness and saw beyond to what is good. Though I am without one plea, Your love is so powerful that You were willing to die for me. Fill my heart with gratitude in remembrance of all that I have been given. Sprinkle me with Your righteousness. Make me be content to be a worldly outcast. Make me more holy so that I can better reflect Your majesty. Increase my belief, Lord Jesus, until the foundation of my faith is solid as the rock. My love for You is unshakable. My devotion secure because You have claimed me as Your own. I need nothing more than all of You. Father, eradicate my tendency to dwell in the realm of the negative when You have invited me to make my home within the boundaries of the eternal positive. Under the Word of truth given in John 14:23-24 and the authority of Christ Jesus I bow in prayer.

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves Me will obey My teaching. My Father will love them,
and We will come to them and make our home with them.  
Anyone who does not love Me will not obey My teaching.
