Lord God Almighty, cover Your servant with covenant oil anointing as You lead me across the unchartered territory that stretches out before me. I hold firmly to Your promises, trusting You to thwart the powers of hell working against Your mission. Root the truth of Your Word firmly in my heart and soul until perseverance allows me to go wherever You send me. When the foul breath of evil feels perilously close to Your beloved, let the wind of Your Spirit blow away the stench of doubt and despair. With delightful anticipation I look forward to meeting You in that special place of weakness and vulnerability where a prayerful infusion of strength is received in the greatest measure. Jesus, when the weighty burdens are too much, would You shoulder the heaviness until I become acutely aware of Your nearness. Only You can use all things for good, Lord. For though I am crushed, I am not destroyed. Make Your appointed child buoyant with hope that spills over into the lives of others You have entrusted to my care. Lord, I count it all joy when the trials of this life vex the peace You have given me. Remind me to rejoice in the smallest of victories granted because of my inheritance in You. May my words permeate with truth so that the roots of my faith reach deep into the pool of living water that runs as an undercurrent in my soul. Finish what You have started, Lord God. Under the Word of Philippians 1:6 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.
Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6, NIV
Only You can use all things for good, Lord–Amen!
