Lord, in prayer I bow beneath Your sovereign grace. Shower Your servant with an abundance of blessings that will etch my heart with the awareness of Your presence. Hold me closer to You during those perplexing times when trust is challenged and appearances of what is cloud my perception of what will be. Help me become a force of inspiring hope for those whose faith has been weakened by the foothold gained from the enemy. Arm me, Lord God, with the mighty weapons that I will need for the spiritual warfare that inevitably comes when the minions of hell sense they are losing ground in my soul. Let me abide in You, alone, Jesus. Only You can soothe me when the arrows of condemnation are hurled at me from unexpected sources. Only You are enough to empower me for life and love. You are my heart’s shield and my soul’s protector. Lead me in the anointed calling that will bear Your image to its fullest. Use me, Lord, to further Your Kingdom. For in times of physical distress, You are my healer. In times of emotional turmoil, You are my peace. In seasons of loneliness You are the One who loves me. May the words given me in the holy text saturate the ground of my barren heart until a garden of faith blossoms where You intend it to. Under the Word of truth in 1 Peter 1:13-15 and the authority of Christ Jesus I humbly pray.

Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—  as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,  but just as He who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior.
