My heavenly longing is like a swollen spring within my heart. The merest hint of Your Word makes it burst forth in joy like an earthly geyser that reaches for the skies from the bowels of the planet. Lord, You know the depths of my being, for only You can search it out. Only You can openly declare what is true with Your beloved. Lead me in the Spirit so that I might not fail You. My faith is minuscule in comparison to Your grace. May I never take for granted the privileges allotted to me by Your willingness to embrace the cross. That which is meant for evil in the hands of men is easily turned into sublime blessing when You, my God, have snatched it from feeble hands, redefining the worldly with divine meaning and purpose. Keep me beneath the canopy of this covenant ordained before time began. Even with the limited comprehension of my mind, my heart still sings the wedding song of Your holy text. Even with the weakness of my flesh, my soul inclines itself to holiness because You are holy. Fill the vacancies within me, Lord God, by the power of Your Spirit. Let me find rest in the fond imaginings of what will be when You designate all of my lessons here on earth sufficiently learned. Beautiful are Your perfect promises, Lord God Almighty. Under the might and power of Your Word in Genesis 50:20 and the authority of Christ, I bow in humble prayer.
