My Father in heaven, let me not compromise godly wisdom with the faulty thinking of this world. Lord, envelope me in truth, sealing me with the impenetrable shield of Your Spirit. Banish all wrong thinking from my mind as only You can do, God. Keep my footsteps falling steadily behind You, Jesus, so that the enemy of my soul does not cast his scheming net in my direction, easily landing on the hook of my sin. Such delight is found when I remain shielded by Your righteousness. Grant me a desire for purity, Lord God – a desire that warns me when I am stepping beyond the boundaries. Give me power to denounce the error of my ways. Help me resist the pull of the current of conformity. Rather, grant me gills of holiness which will allow me to breathe in the living waters of truth while I swim in the river of the world. Take me, Lord Jesus, into the wilderness of separation where I can lean into You with my whole heart until the Promised Land is on the horizon. Sanctify Your Servant, Lord, for I am Yours. Under the Word You have graciously given in Jeremiah 1:5 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
