May the holiness of my life be the hallmark of the faith that beats in my heart. In the power of Your Spirit, Lord, help me resist all carnal inclinations. Because my soul is Your throne, Jesus, reign over my desires and motivations with the golden scepter of divine love. Nothing is needed besides Your presence. Nothing should be learned unless taught to me by You. Vanquish the pull of indulgence which often drags me away from Your presence. Because I abide in You, my Savior, let me not make my home in the shelter of corruptions this world offers. Bring the dead alive and the sleeping awake. Call up Your servants to take strides in holiness. Show me how to live in this world without becoming a partner in it, Lord Jesus. Make my steps along the path You have set me on steady and glorifying to Your Name. You know the way, Lord. Bring me to an energetic pursuit of the eternal horizon. Under the Word given in James 4:4 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow before the altar of God in prayer.
