May the power of Your resurrection radically transform the living of my days, Lord Jesus. In You, and only You, my hope is anchored. Though the hail of discontent pelts me, I will find refuge beneath the umbrella of Your promises. There is more to my being than what my flesh desires. There are far greater riches beyond what my eyes can see in front of me. It is with faithful delight that I can wait upon You, Lord, because I have already been witness to Your fulfillment through the Word. Though the winds of ambition push me in directions of striving for notoriety, I take shelter in Your voice that calls me by a new name. To be fully known by You, Jesus, is more precious than the feeble accolades of other people whose admiration is not nearly as steadfast as Your love. For when I fail, it is Your hand that lifts me out of the pit rather than bury me beneath a heap of condemnation. Dreadful as my tendencies are, You see the best in Your beloved and make it so. Therefore, I ask that the resurrection power extended to me alters my life in such a way that I reflect You to Your complete pleasure. And so I wait for the final day, the completion of the last assignment and the sweet sound of my heavenly name on the wind as You call me home. Under the Word of truth given in Romans 6:5 and the authority of Christ, I bow in humble prayer.
For if we have been united with Him in a death like His,
we will certainly also be united with Him in a resurrection like His.
Romans 6:5, NIV
