Lord my God, in You there is the mighty power of repentance. Turn me around Jesus until I no longer chase after the empty vanities this world offers. I want You to be the object of my devoted love. My heart, as corruptible as it is, can be made incorruptible by the power of Your indwelling Spirit. I am desperately needy of Your presence. I deeply desire Your counsel. Let me dwell within the radiance of Your abiding love where peace calms the internal chaos and serenity puts external calamity in its proper perspective. Under Your blessing let me take each faithful step, knowing that when I fall You will reach for me. You will put me back on my feet. Your Kingdom is my final destiny. The astonishing power of beauty in the light of Your presence is worthy of the deepest praise. In dazzling hues of majestic grace Your light beckons me to turn from chasing shadows and set my gaze on the light that awakens my sleepy soul. Lord, penetrate the void of empty pursuits until the filling begins and every hallow crevice is occupied with Your holiness. Under the repenting power of the Word in John 8:12 and the authority of Christ, I bow in prayer.
