Precious Lord, let me crawl toward Your mercy on knees of repentance. Great God of my redemption, take my soul into Your embrace. Your innocent purity was maltreated because of me. Your goodness was persecuted on my behalf. Jesus, my heart spills with gratitude because Your love bled to cover me. Make me mindful that my sins lacerated Your strong shoulders. My iniquity crowned You with cutting thorns. Yet from the cross, You spoke only words of cleansing forgiveness. May such words echo across time and space to reach into the depths of my rebellious soul until, in the power of repentance, I turn and face You. Let my fountain of mournful sobs burst forth until Your hands cleanse my face and wipe my tears. Let me live in this newness of life You have offered. Let me dance in the health of Your indwelling Spirit. Thank You, Lord Jesus. May my praise echo across time and space into Your holy Kingdom. Under the Word of power in Acts 5:31-32 and the authority of Christ, I pray.
Jesus answered them,
“Those who are well have no need of a physician,
but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous
but sinners to repentance.”
