Let the heart of Your beloved not be constrained in its praise of Your goodness, Lord. With worshipful lips, let me kiss the feet of the King of heaven. Your glory far surpasses that of a new day’s sunrise. Your mercy is as astonishing as a cleansing rain. With unceasing gratitude for gracious freedom, my shackles of shame fall to the ground at Your command. Let me magnify truth about who You are, Jesus, through the way I live. It is You who reigns in my heart. It is You who has redeemed me. My soul thirsts for the only home where it truly belongs. All worldly pursuit holds no pleasure for me now. Fleshly passion pales in comparison to the empowerment of the Spirit granted me through my faith in You. My heart perpetually listens for the jubilee trumpet sound announcing an end to captivity to self-awareness. Jesus, You delight to bring Your prisoners out of the cell of darkness and into the light of life. While I walk my days in this light of freedom, Lord, let me live in sweet expectation of the liberty I will experience when I am in Your Kingdom forevermore. Under the mighty truth in Psalm 3:2-4 and the authority of Christ Jesus, I bow in prayer.
Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.”
But You, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
I call out to the Lord,
and He answers me from His holy mountain.
Psalm 3:2-4, NIV
My soul thirsts for the only home where it truly belongs. All worldly pursuit holds no pleasure for me now–Amen!
