My soul contemplates the mighty protective love of the Lord and all fears are vanquished. You, my Father, are my glory and defense. With the forces of heaven at Your command, open my eyes to see that those who are with me far out-number those against me. Your watchers and Your holy ones are my guardians. Let me ever be grateful for such a canopy of love, Lord. Open my blinded eyes when circumstantial fear threatens my peace. The horses and chariots of fire surround the beloved of the Lord. Everything is subjected to Your power because You calm the storms with a simple command. The day opens at Your bidding. The stars come upon the stage of night at Your call. Truly nothing is impossible for You. You loose the myriad of blessings with my name on them. You bind the snares which would take me from the path of Your will. I delight in Your sovereignty, Lord God Almighty. Let me not fear what I cannot understand at the moment. Clarity is gifted through Your love. My times are in Your hands. In the fullness of my trust in You I will lie down to find rest beside the still waters within the valley of death. Under the Word of truth found in Psalm 8:3-4 and the authority of Christ, I bow in grateful prayer.
