Today’s Prayer

Compel me, LORD, to seek Your way and not the ways of this world. O that my heart and mind would be transformed by Your love. My Only desire is to live according to Your perfect will. You are my refuge and my strength. When I do not understand the world around me, I will trust in the LORD, my God. When the ground beneath my feet is just sinking sand, let me lean into You, my God. For my soul faints with longing for Your truth. My soul quickens at the sweet sound of Your voice calling my name in the darkness. O God, my God, turn my heart toward Your kingdom and away from myself. For I believe that all Your promises are true. I rejoice that my sin has been washed away in Your blood. I am filled with gratitude as You open the doors and usher me into Your presence. Compel me to come, LORD God. Overwhelmed by mercy, I fall to my knees in praise and adoration. Jesus, my Jesus, guard my heart above all else. Grant me access to Your living water. Compel me to drink, LORD God. Quiet me with Your love as You grant me the joy of Your salvation. Compel me to rejoice, LORD God. Sustain me with Your steadfast Spirit so that Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control will flow through my life. Compel me to bear much fruit, LORD God. My times are in Your hands, O LORD. With Your unfailing love, usher me into Your glory. For I have been transformed. My heart is compelled to seek You with utter longing. Under the Word of the Lord in Psalm 77:12-14 and the authority of Christ Jesus I bow in prayer.

I will ponder all Your work,
    and meditate on Your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
    What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders;
    You have made known Your might among the peoples.
Psalm 77:12-14, ESV
