My fragile heart cries out to God within the boundaries of its limited capacity. Can it contain the gratitude I have for You, O LORD? Your love is the treasure I have longed for. Our love is the priceless treasure that I never deserved. Yet, You saved me from my aimless wanderings. You gathered me in from the desert lands. When my soul was parched, You gave me to drink of Your living water. When my heart was hungry, You fed me with Your love and Your truth. O LORD, You are my God, my King, my Savior. For I know when trouble surrounds me like a swarm of angry hornets, You are there to protect me from life’s sting. For I know when the storm rages and the earth shakes, Your voice is the only voice that calms the chaos inside my soul. With what can I show my thanks, Jesus? What could I possibly give You that is worthy of Your love? O LORD, I am nothing. I’ve none to offer but a frail, battered, imperfect heart that longs to be near You. I came from darkness into Your light so that I could bow down before the Almighty King. I cling to the hope of being made new. You, LORD, have turned my weakness into strength. You have taken my willingness and made it a calling. You have transformed my wandering into purpose. My heart is too small to contain all the gratitude due to my LORD, the treasure of my soul. With a thankful Spirit, LORD, I give You all that I am, all that I have, all that I will ever be. Thank You for turning my life into Your glory, Jesus. Under the blessedness of Your Word in John 4:13-14 and the authority of Christ, my Savior, I pray.
Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks this water will get thirsty again and again. Anyone who drinks the water I give will never thirst—not ever. The water I give will be an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life.”
John 4:13-14, MSG
