Lord, there exists within my soul an emptiness that can only be filled by You. There is a vacancy of heart which searches in vain for worldly fulfillment when only divine love can take up residency with any permanence. Chisel the faith with which You have transformed me into something unidentifiable to this world. Let my faith be the blood-bought vein of truth that goes beyond mere head-knowledge and finds life in the simplicity of adoration through the Son. Build up my courage to stand in prayer against the enemy. Grant me strength when needed to boldly proclaim truth in the face of deceit. And let Your servant not forsake learning the beauty of the Scriptures wherein You heart is revealed and mystery is made known. May Your blessed Word remain etched on my heart as a treasure map of eternity. Father, take this mortal body into Your service and make it fit for the Kingdom position You have designated for it. Let my words and actions be worthy of You. And when great calamities befall me Lord, take me into Your arms so that I can be infused with patient courage to follow Your will. It is life and godliness which sustains me on this path. Make me dwell in the heart of assurance befitting one called by Your great Name. Under the truth of the Word of God in 1 Timothy 3:15-16 and the authority of Christ I humbly pray.

You will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
